Kalia Aquino (b. 1999) is a self-taught, mixed-race American artist of Panamanian and Filipino ancestry. Working primarily in oil painting, her autobiographical practice explores the sacred undercurrents of existence through a deeply personal lens. Inspired by both folk and outsider art traditions, her work navigates themes of divinity, identity, and the search for meaning beyond formal religion. In addition to her studio practice, Aquino is a Religious Studies student at UT Austin and is an art educator in her local community.
